Along with plastic surgery, Dr. Nukta also specializes in surgical treatment of injuries of the hand. During his intensive surgical training, he was honored with a one-year hand surgical fellowship at the prestigious and world-renowned Kleinert’s Hand Institution in Louisville, Kentucky. He was part of the institution’s elite surgical team, and honed skills in microsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery. Dr. Nukta has also mentored residents in their research on Wide Awake Surgery of the Hand (WASH).
In addition to running his busy private plastic surgery practice, Dr. Nukta finds great reward in helping emergent trauma victims. He works hard to be by the patient’s side as soon as possible after the injury (preferably the same day) so he can perform necessary repairs to the hands before the tissues become too swollen. Dr. Nukta shows the same dedication across all facets of his practice.
