Getting a Breast Augmentation Consultation
The breast augmentation consultation process at NOVA Plastic Surgery is designed with patient satisfaction in mind. We want to ensure that you are fully informed of all your options before undergoing the procedure.
Your consultation for breast augmentation will begin with a meeting with our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Fadi Nukta. Dr. Nukta will begin with an initial examination and a discussion of your options and of what the procedure entails.
The first consultation also includes a meeting with Jessica Fuller, our Patient Coordinator. Jessica will help you try on different implant sizers so you can find the one that creates the silhouette youre looking for. The state-of-the-art sizers fit naturally over the contours of the breast, so you can get a more accurate picture of your post-operative appearance (as opposed to just holding implants up to your breasts, which flattens the tissue and is gives a less accurate post-operative picture).
Jessica will also take digital photos for our 3-D simulator, which creates a virtual image of your body. Near the end of this first consultation, you will be shown the price break down for the breast augmentation procedure, and be offered any specials the office is currently running.
The second consultation involves the 3-D simulator. The digital images of your body will be uploaded into the simulator, which also stores all the information about a number of sizes and types of implants. The simulator will show you a more accurate picture of how your post-operative body will look with different profiles or implants sizes, allowing you to make the most informed decision possible.
The patient will then try on the sizers once again, to confirm the desired profile. Dr. Nukta will then review incision location, potential complications, different approaches to the surgery, and answer any questions you have.
The second consultation can also serve as your pre-operative appointment, if you have already scheduled the procedure. If not, you will come back in for one final pre-operative appointment to get your instructions for pre-operative instructions and post-operative care instructions.*
