BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected in the upper areas of the face to relax the muscles and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The forehead, between the eyebrows, and the crow’s feet around the eyes are the most common places BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected.
For example, BOTOX® Cosmetic can be used above and between the eyebrows to relax frown lines. Frown lines can create an angry or crabby look that many patients seek to alleviate. Therefore, BOTOX® Cosmetic is a temporary but effective solution; treatment must be repeated periodically.
Fillers
Fillers are injected beneath an indentation in the skin to “fill” the skin out and create a smooth appearance. When it comes to wrinkles, fillers are most commonly used in the lower regions of the face.
For example, if the lines between the mouth and nose become deep or you have lines around your lips from being a smoker, fillers are the perfect solution. Fillers last up to nine months before another injection must be scheduled.
Laser Resurfacing and Deep Laser Treatment
Laser resurfacing treats shallow wrinkles by causing the outer layer of skin to peel away, revealing younger, healthier skin beneath. Deep Laser Treatment is often used in combination with other treatment options for deeper wrinkles.
